Chanoknan Angurasaranee Claims Honda National Qualifiers Title, Earns Spot in Honda LPGA Thailand 2026
(Chonburi, Thailand – 8 January 2026) – Chanoknan Angurasaranee, a 21-year-old Thai professional golfer from Saraburi Province, claimed the title at the Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 National Qualifiers after a closely contested two-day competition held on 7–8 January at Siam Country Club Rolling Hills, Pattaya, Chonburi, marking her fourth appearance in the event.
Chanoknan posted a total score of 3-under-par 141 (70–71) to emerge victorious from a field of 89 competitors, earning an automatic berth in the Honda LPGA Thailand 2026, one of the premier women’s golf tournaments on the LPGA Tour calendar. The Honda LPGA Thailand 2026, now in its 19th edition, will take place from 19–22 February 2026 at Siam Country Club Old Course, Pattaya, featuring 72 of the world’s leading female golfers competing for a total prize purse of USD 1.8 million (approx. THB 60 million)
Speaking after her victory, Chanoknan expressed her excitement and gratitude. “Everyone played really well this year, and the course was very challenging, with strong wind, so it was a tough and hard-fought win. I used to come to Pattaya to watch this tournament when I was young, so earning the opportunity to compete myself feels incredibly special. I would like to thank my family for their constant support and Honda for creating this platform that allows young Thai golfers to step onto the global stage. I will continue to work even harder and hope one day to play alongside my idols, including Jeeno and Ariya. I truly appreciate all the encouragement for myself and my fellow Thai golfers.”
Chanoknan began playing golf at the age of 11 and turned professional at just 16. She made an impressive impact early in her professional career, finishing runner-up at the Ladies European Tour’s Magical Kenya Ladies Open in Kenya in 2023. Chanoknan has competed on the LPGA Tour in 2024 and 2025 and recorded the first hole-in-one of her professional career at the par-3 sixth hole (154 yards) during the opening round of the PIF Saudi Ladies International 2025 at Riyadh Golf Club, Saudi Arabia. Her ultimate ambition is to become the world’s No. 1 golfer.
Mrs. Rachanee Jirathawonkul, General Manager, Business Planning, Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said the National Qualifiers serve as a vital platform for Thai golfers to showcase their talent and create new rising stars for women’s golf in Thailand. Mr. Nakorn Vimonjitsaard, General Manager, Marketing Communication Function, Thai Honda Co., Ltd., added that Honda firmly believes in the potential of Thai youth and hopes that experience gained from the Honda LPGA Thailand will help advance athletes’ professional careers in the future.
Now in its eighth consecutive year, the Honda LPGA Thailand National Qualifiers are sanctioned by the Thailand LPGA Association and play a key role in developing Thai women golfers toward international competition. Previous champions include Benyapa Niphatsophon (2019), Rina Tatematsu (2020), Chanettee Wannasaen (2021–2022), Natthakritta Vongtaveelap (2023), Suvichaya Vinijchaitham (2024), and Pimpisa Rubrong (2025).
The Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 will be headlined by world-class players including Jeeno Thitikul, current world No. 1 and Rolex Player of the Year 2025, Patty Tavatanakit, champion of the 2024 edition, Ariya Jutanugarn, the 2021 winner, and Angel Yin of the United States, the reigning 2025 champion, alongside many other top players from around the world.
